Why tracing a batch usually takes days
Reconstructing what happened to a specific delivery means answering several questions at once: which raw material lots went into that batch, what their test results were, which mix design version was in use that day, what the slump reading was at the point of pour, and what the cube or cylinder strength results came back as. When each of those lives in a separate register, answering all five means physically tracking down each one and hoping the paper trail between them is intact. That’s a multi-day exercise even when nothing has gone missing — and it’s the reason so many quality disputes get settled on goodwill rather than evidence.
What a unified record changes
